Lumineux Lighting Warranty Terms & Conditions

Warranty

All Lumineux & truSmart products comply with their published specification and are covered by our warranty cover, as fully outlined in our B&T Associates Ltd Terms & Conditions. Standard warranty terms include, but are not limited to, that within the warranty period from the date of invoice, Lumineux will, at our discretion, offer to repair, refurbish, or replace a failed product or, if the product is no longer available, offer a closest alternative product replacement.

Any product deemed not to have been installed, maintained, and tested in accordance with our instructions or is not compliant with all current and relevant electrical installation regulations, or is not deemed to be in accordance with generally accepted installation practice, will invalidate the warranty.

Extended Onsite Warranty

In addition to the standard warranty of the product, Lumineux & truSmart will offer onsite warranty on products that carry a 5-year or more warranty.

For the onsite warranty, you must register your project on our website within 90 days with proof of purchase for a unique reference number. You will need this unique code if you need to make a claim. Unregistered products will default to the standard warranty terms.

The on-site warranty applies in addition to the terms and conditions contained in our standard warranty. This policy includes replacement products of the same specification or similar and will cover fair and reasonable on-site charges up to the amount in the table below that relate only to faulty Lumineux products that have been properly installed and used for their intended purpose. All Quotations for work must be provided to Lumineux before work commences.

The on-site warranty will be void if the repairing and/or replacement of the faulty products starts prior to obtaining written authorisation from Lumineux. Lumineux reserves the right to allocate a contractor to assess disputes if necessary.

Please see below the payments Lumineux will make to cover the cost of failed fittings.

If the estimated cost is deemed excessive, Lumineux Lighting reserves the right to source our own qualified contractor to undertake the work or will carry out the work with our own qualified engineers.

Lumineux holds no responsibility for ‘mismatch’ of products when replacing discontinued product(s) under warranty. An additional 12-month on-site warranty will apply to any rectified products during this process.

In the event that multiple claims are submitted under the same unique reference number, Lumineux reserves the right to conduct a site inspection to determine whether any external factors unrelated to our products are contributing to the reported failures. Should Lumineux identify reasonable evidence indicating that the failures are not attributable to our products, we reserve the right to recover up to 100% of the costs incurred by Lumineux Lighting in relation to all claims made under the unique reference number, including costs incurred prior to and up to the date of the site visit.

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must complete the Lumineux Lighting On-Site Warranty Form Claim, available on our website.
